Indy Recon

At the end of February the staff of USA Football was taken to Indianapolis to become acquainted with the city, learn about all it has to offer, and essentially be convinced that Indy was the place for the organization to move. After a welcome luncheon with the mayor and some of the city's finest, we went on a motor coach tour of the city, stopping at many of points of interest. We were pretty impressed with not only what the city has to offer, but also the caliber of the people there. I guess we weren't all that surprised about how great the people were... it IS the midwest, after all.

Mia was enjoying the ride in the laps of several USA Football staffers.
Here she is pointing out some of the highlights of downtown Indianapolis to Anthony, whom she loved.

It was pretty cold the weekend we were there, but Mia was a champ as she was carted around the city and in and out of real estate possibilities.

One of the nights we enjoyed dinner and a game with Jim Morris, the owner of the Pacers.

Mia watched the game intently and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Over all, a great weekend in Indianapolis... Our future home!

My 30th Birthday

Farewell, 20's... We had a great run!

For my 30th birthday, Nick surprised me with a mystery overnight date. My sister-in-law, Mary was kind enough to take Mia for a night & I was whisked away to an adorable bed & breakfast in the quaint town of Washington, Virginia at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just outside Shenendoah National Park. We had an incredible dinner at the Thornton River Grille and had a relaxing time away from home, without Mia for the first time. The best part was being able to sleep in as late as we wanted the next morning! (Thanks for giving up your Saturday morning for the cause, Mary.) Nick made my entry into the 30's an easier transition. Thanks, babe!

Our great dinner spot. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it was amazing!

Long Time, No Blog

I have been really bad about keeping up on the blog these last 2 months... Lacrosse season started & my small amount of free time was suddenly and completely absorbed. I don't think anyone really noticed except Nick's parents & my parents, but to you grandparents, I apologize. I promise to try and catch up on the last couple of months & to be better from now on!
